Who are we?

Fellowship Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church that is dedicated to knowing Jesus and making Jesus known. We were founded in 2004 in Kaneohe and are currently located in Kalihi, Hawaii.

Our board:

​Pastor Harlan Nakasone

Born and raised in Hawaii, Harlan grew up in Kaneohe and graduated from Castle High School. He attended International College and Graduated School and received his Masters of Divinity in 2004. Harlan felt a call to be a Pastor during his years at seminary. At the seminary, he could not cover the cost of tuition. Harlan started praying and asking the Lord, “if you want me to be a Pastor, please provide the tuition I need to complete my diploma.”  Two weeks later, a Pastor from Mililani hired Harlan as Youth Pastor and Worship Leader. The church agreed to cover the entire cost of the tuition. From that time till today, Harlan knows that God has called him to be a Pastor. Read Pastor Harlan's full testimony here.

Dana Nakasone

​Dana Nakasone is the wife of Pastor Harlan Nakasone.  They met in high school and attended the same youth group at Pali View Baptist Church.  They have been married for 26 years.  She became a Christian in her Senior year of high school and began helping out with a children's Sunday school class shortly after.  This led her to a career in education where she currently teaches Reading at Washington Middle School.  She is on the leadership team and also leads a Women's Bible study group and disciples young adult women.  Her goal is to help others mature in their faith who then become disciplemakers themselves.

Pastor Clyde Kakiuchi

Pastor Clyde Kakiuchi joined Fellowship Baptist Church in 2012. He serves on the leadership team primarily as the communication liaison and  as a photographer, documenting church events and ministries. His goals are to live out the church's vision of "Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known" and helping others mature in their faith.

Pastor Curtis Tsuzaki

Curtis has been a part of Fellowship Baptist Church since 2018. He is part of the leadership team serving as treasurer and is actively involved in ministry to the homeless. His goals are to be a wise steward of FBC finances, help FBC in implementing a discipleship program, and to care for the flock in his hometown in Waianae.
